What a great article! My thoughts exactly. I am probably in a small minority when I think Trusova was robbed. For one, I like The Stooges. I feel she isn’t being all girly and demure and skating to the Lion King or classical music. So she gets second. But man, she could hit those quads. I do feel bad for Anna. Drama to the left, drama to the right and no one to hug her. I thought the Japanese bronze winner might hug her before the coach would! Even she was having a breakdown. As Golf Digest called it, “a nightmarish dumpster fire”. And the Roc let the supposedly doped up girl perform twice instead of Trusova and Anna, so if their team “wins” gold, they will never see the medals. These girls need to get on another country’s team pronto.

While I've been watching the Olympics, I can't help but think about which events I'd want my kids to do. (I'd prefer them not to get seriously injured --- physically or mentally. Weird preference, right?) I have to say that curling looks more and more like a winner. 🥌 (Biathlon would be cool too.)

Everything else aside, I was happy when "I Wanna Be Your Dog" showed up. In the short program, one lady skated to "Sweet Dreams" by Eurythmics.
That Russian athletes are even allowed to compete proves what a complete farce the Olympic Games are.
