Former career prosecutor here. Just want to reaffirm what every reader here already suspects: the grand jury records will illuminate absolutely nothing. The purpose of the grand jury is simply to establish probable cause (translation: a more than fifty percent likelihood) that crimes have been committed by the defendant. In practical terms, this means that the government is obligated to present the most threadbare, stripped down version of the case it intends to present at trial. It’s also a non-adversarial proceeding. Even if Epstein procured hundreds of young girls for Trump’s depraved pleasure, there would no reason or legal basis to reference Trump by name during the grand jury presentation. These corrupt scumbags Bondi, et al) obviously know this. You should as well.

In light of today’s news I should have added that it’s extremely difficult to simply unseal and make public the records of grand jury proceedings. For reasons both valid and silly the law cloaks grand jury proceedings with a very heavy veil of secrecy.

If you think that releasing everything related to Trump, Epstein, and "Chinese finger trap" won't surface some VERY incriminating content, you've clearly never seen the movie Chasing Amy. 😀

You had me up until "recumbent". There's no freaking way trump knows a word like that! Way too many syllables.

I think the weirdest part about this is that most people had pretty much forgotten about this whole thing. Talk about a self inflicted wound! If they had just shut up about it instead of making an announcement that there was nothing there, we’d still be flaying around trying to convince a bunch of knuckleheads that this crew just screwed them over, but not until after they voted them in again. An argument that relies on non-goldfish levels of predictive capability.

I liked the UNNECESARY CAPITALIZATIONS but I FEEL you could have included more examples of "bizarre quotation marks".

Obama is thinking, "I am glad the Supreme Court had that immunity ruling." Not that I think he's guilty of anything, but he doesn't have to worry about a frivolous prosecution, which they are threatening anyway.
