She has a right to be pissed

The title of this article is a bit misleading: I wouldn’t want to be Kristi Noem’s husband any night. But she’s surely on the rampage as we speak, because she just got fired, and — hot take! — I think she has a right to feel mistreated. She’s in the kind of situation that would make most people go home and kick the dog, but Kristi Noem famously no longer has a dog.

Another reason that I pity Noem’s husband is that he’s probably being cheated on. An affair between Noem and her subordinate Corey Lewandowski has been called “the worst kept secret in Washington” by people who have somehow missed all the whispers about Lindsey Graham. And when Noem was asked about her relationship with Lewandowski under oath in a hearing on Wednesday, this was the result:

Seems suspicious. Though I love that her attempted filibuster morphed into generic facts about the Department of Homeland Security — if it had gone on much longer, she probably would have found herself saying “Bull sharks have 50 rows of teeth!” and “The moon could fit inside Jupiter 60,000 times!”
