In your opining you mention that a hit Jazz band of the 20s became an investment company in the 50s and analogized it to if Green Day stopped music and went into plastics. I used to love Tom Toles' stuff. Haven't seen it in years, though. I was upset when the New York Times' The Week in Review rebranded, became lamer, and removed the best political cartoons of the week. This was like 20 years ago and I'm still shaking my head.

Yep. As well as basically the entirety of the Americas, Australia, New Zealand, etc... These people are curiously selective about which countries are legit and which ones are "settler colonies". Wait until they learn about China's history.
