That cartoon with the mime parachutist made me laugh out loud. Thank you.
:-)
(And you are indeed a sick, sick man. E.T. isn't attractive for having a voluptuous body! It's those large, soulful eyes that make E.T. so dreamy, so irresistible... *sigh*...)
Just to be that guy: the astronauts with the funny hats are the crew of Apollo 1, who died in a fire during a training exercise in 1967. I’d go with the Apollo 11 or Apollo 13 crews.
Whoops! That was the product of a search for "Apollo astronauts", and it seems like I got the only wrong ones. This piece doesn't really need that photo -- I'll take it down.
Speaking of impressions: A few months back (details have faded), I saw Eddie Murphy do a brief impression of Tracy Morgan. I think it was impromptu, funny, and dead-on.
Cool cartoons! When you talk about sweating over something to get it right, I think of the visual gag in Fawlty Towers where he thrashes his car with the branch: the famously obsessive Cleese tried a bendier one and a stiffer one before settling on the just-bendy-enough-to-be-funny Goldilocks branch immortalised in the show.
I sent the parachuting-mime image to my husband, so great do I think it is. I'll have to wait until he wakes up and sees it before I know whether his response will be "wtf am I looking at? Oh I see, that's cute" and whether I'll have to consider divorcing him as a result. But anyway, great job Greg Bishop.
Speaking of visual humor, I recommend the engineer-turned-comic Don McMillan. He spent his professional life making PowerPoint presentations, and he has leveraged that into a career as a stand-up comic.

E T show us your tits😆
I didn’t get the mime parachute bit till now, thanks 😁
Wow, all those words about visuals and then no photoshop for “round Brazilian asses app?”
Bigfoot speech is classic
This was a lot of words to say a pretty simple thing: if you photoshop Elvis Presley as a Muslim suicide bomber, it's just funny: https://www.instagram.com/reel/DGZzK2lsDAM/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link&igsh=MzRlODBiNWFlZA%3D%3D

What kind of person does it make me that I just laughed out loud at this?
Yes that definitely makes it funnier

These cartoons are great! Also, puritans are extremely funny. They just don't know it.

Love these cartoons ... they have a bit of an Asher Perlman vibe to them
