Let's Take AOC's Foreign Policy Vision Seriously

AOC recently met with world leaders in Europe, and her trip contained a few gaffes. She stumbled through a question about Taiwan, incorrectly said that Venezuela is in the southern hemisphere, and said “trans-Pacific partnership” when she mean “trans-Atlantic”. The online response to those gaffes has basically been this:
The New York Times reports that AOC is frustrated that her slip-ups are distracting from her foreign policy message. I know how frustrating it can be to try to convey something important but have people fixate on a red herring; I once approached my neighbor to set up a curbside recycling program, and it’s like they didn’t hear anything I said after “Wow, your daughter’s really grown into her body!” So, let’s do what AOC is requesting and take the message that she conveyed on her trip seriously.
