Toilet paper companies are probably the only ones that could get away with this, because you’re already wiping your arse with their product so you kind of win however you feel about it.

In other news, Rice Krispies no longer Snap, Crackle and Pop, they have instead been biologically tweaked in order to produce a scathing denunciation of settler-colonialism when you pour the milk on.

Well, of course she's not laughing. The Comedian is dead.

But doctor... I *am* the Laughing Cow.

I’ll be honest. When I read this my thoughts immediately turned, not to the Palestinian issue, but to the disastrous impact of Trump’s policies on US farmers: AI “President Trump’s policies and administrative actions heavily impact U.S. dairy farms through a mix of labor updates, trade disputes, and regulatory shifts.” Makes sense that a cartoon cow might serve as a spokes🐮 on a genuinely relevant topic. Of course, I could be dead wrong. I assume the issue will be revisited.

1. It's entirely possible Laughing Cow will release a powerful statement on Israel/Palestine, but only because sometimes there's a lag time between when an event happens and when a movie or TV show or marketing campaign is released. You can't just throw together a convincing life sized cow costume and film it on a swing and get it out in a day. Remember how the Dylan Mulvaney Bud Light ads arrived after Mulvaney's popularity had begun to wane?

2. Watching Vivek RAMALAMALA!!! (credit to Tim Dillon), I thought "Why isn't this idiot lifting his left foot and leaning before swinging? Does it have something to do with Cricket?" Turns out, after I did the shallowest dive possible, Cricket batters don't normally lift their feet when swinging the whateverthefuck thing they swing is called.

It might be because of tennis — apparently he’s legitimately kind of good at tennis. And that’s a swing where you plant your feet and pivot your torso. (But then why isn’t his torso moving???)

Dillon Eliassen's avatar

Oh, yeah, it could be from tennis. Either way, swinging a baseball bat like that is disqualifying.

Given that we are (how now) talking about a cow, I believe we could safely say "SHE" here: "the possibility that it will issue an impassioned statement." Don't fear the gender.

Looks like a normal swing to my Israeli eyes, where's the issue? Should he be hitting closer to the chest or something?

He doesn’t step with his left foot or pivot his torso at all — he’s all arms! You can tell they knew it was bad by how tightly it’s edited but they posted it anyway.

He's keeping his feet still, not leaning at all when swinging. His body is moving the way a weather vane moves. If he wasn't such an obvious unathletic person, I'd say he was sacrificing power for accuracy; he's just trying to make contact with the ball so they don't waste time filming him missing the ball.

On the plus side, Israel has excellent dairy with many options to switch to. Assuming they're not all boycotted.

Oh and it's not just the bystander effect. It's cancel-culture-fueled-self-censorship. The first person that says "I think that might be bad for business" will be accused of not just defending genocide but of actually perpetrating it. By the time it gets to the CEO or CMO, it's too late because if they squash it, the intern that started this whole thing will blast them internally and on social media until they are forced to resign. The cow may not be laughing, America won't be laughing, but the Pro Pallys will be.

Unless of course this is totally innocuous and nothing happens, in which case, still shame on Laughing Cow for scaring us like that.
