Akiro Kurosawa made the film 'Dreams', which was similar in format to 'Megalopolis', a film about what goes on inside a film director's head. Granted, it was Kurosawa's last film, but I think that was just a coincidence.
I would argue the George W Bush administration was way worse than Trump. I mean, invading Iraq on false pretenses, killing up to 1,000,000 Iraqis and 4,500 American soldiers for nothing seems extremely worse than anything Trump ever did. But no one seems to care about that anymore and GWB is considered some folksy affable elder statesman because he gave Michelle Obama some candy at his dad's funeral and makes childlike paintings. None of this is Kamala Harris' fault but she certainly didn't have to say she was "honored" to be endorsed by Dick Cheney which is again completely memory-holing the Iraq War.
